These photos are my photographic lifelist of bird sightings. This section is not meant as an art gallery although many of the photos are reproduced in other galleries.

Many birders maintain various types of lists of birds they have seen. Most keep a life list, a list of birds that they have seen over their lifetime. Some maintain lists of birds seen in each state. Still others have a list of birds they have seen from airplanes. Many keep a list of birds that they have seen within their own yards.

Personally, I maintain a couple of lists. All of them are subsets of this list, my life list of birds that I have photographed. If I haven't taken a photo of a particular bird, it simply doesn't make it into any of my lists. You will find that many of the photos in this group are here simply as records of my bird sightings rather than for their beauty.

This display has been sorted to display in Family groups and those Families are displayed in a commonly accepted order that will match the organization of most books dealing with bird identification.
